Winter Storm Warning canceled for central Indiana
The Winter Storm Warning for central Indiana Wednesday has been canceled after the heaviest bands of snow moved out of the area.
A Winter Weather Advisory is still in effect through 9:00 a.m. for Hamilton, Madison, Delaware, Randolph, Hendricks, Marion, Hancock, Henry, Morgan, Johnson, Shelby, Rush, Bartholomew, Decatur, and Jennings counties. Cities included in the advisory: Anderson, Muncie, Indianapolis, Shelbyville and Columbus
An additional inch of snow or less is possible. Scattered snow showers will end by mid or late morning.
Also in the advisory, Owen, Greene, Monroe, Brown, Daviess, Martin, Lawrence and Jackson counties, including Bloomington, Bedford and Seymour, where an additional inch of snow or less is possible.
A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility, and use caution while driving.
North of Indianapolis, in Lafayette and Kokomo, a few light snow showers may occur early this morning. However no additional accumulations are expected.
