Wildlife experts use pyrotechnics to scare birds downtown
Don't be alarmed if you hear strange noises and see laser lights downtown tonight.
It's a special show meant to shoo birds away.
Beginning tonight, federal wildlife experts will use pyrotechnics, lasers and recorded bird calls to discourage roosting starlings and crows.
One of the places they'll focus on is a power station on 18th and MLK.
You may also see workers in uniform scaring the birds away from downtown area sidewalks and rooftops.
