West Indianapolis standoff ends

When IMPD's SWAT team made a forceful entry at a unit of the Honey Creek Apartments on North High School Road, the three people inside claimed they hadn't heard any of the commotion surrounding the standoff that had been going on for more than 2 hours.

The two men and one woman told officers they had been asleep the whole time. No one appears to have been injured.

We know at least one of the men was taken into custody.

This started when officers in the area heard shots fired from a parking lot at about 3:30 this morning. When they arrived, witnesses told them that there had been a fight between a man and a woman in the area. They say the man then pulled the woman into an apartment unit.

Officers found shell casings in the parking lot where the shots were first heard.

No word on what, if any charges will be filed against the occupants of that apartment.
