Water rescue twice in same location in Hamilton County

Hamilton County crews were conducting a water rescue search for the second time in the same location within a few hours of each other, despite barricaded roads.

About 1:15 a.m. crews were dispatched to a victim who was believed to be in a vehicle that had possibly been washed off the road by rushing water near 266th and Mount Pleasant Road.

Police have put barricades across the road to prevent people from driving across, but say people have been moving the barricades and driving around them all day.

Investigators did find a vehicle, but could not find any people.  Crews had boats in the water, but were forced to call the search off about 3:30 a.m.

They hope to resume their search later Saturday morning.

This rescue is in the same area where a man died following a water rescue Friday evening.
