Warmer Thursday before wet Friday

We start this morning out a little warm and very muggy. That's a pattern we'll see all day long Thursday as our weather proves summer isn't quite over yet.

Temperatures soar under hazy sun this afternoon.  Highs will hit around 88 in many areas and heat indices should be well into the 90s.  We will keep it dry today, but storms will dive into northern Indiana later today.

A better chances of rain and storms arrive Friday, but not before highs likely hit 90 degrees.  The hot, humid air feeds heavy downpours and lightning Friday afternoon into early Saturday morning.

The big story this weekend remains the return of refreshing air.  Highs Saturday and Sunday will only be in the 70s, and lows Sunday morning drop into the 40s and 50s!  We'll enjoy a pleasant stretch from late Saturday into Tuesday afternoon.
