Warm-up on the way for central Indiana

Angela Buchman
If the last few days have been too cool for you, there is a warm-up on the way just in time for the weekend.

It won't be as cool overnight, with lows in the middle and upper 50s. The low dropped to 53 degrees and near record levels in Indianapolis on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

The Friday forecast includes a mix of clouds and sun and highs in the range of 75-80 degrees. The warm-up will continue into the weekend. The clouds will be associated with a weather system that is forecast to move just to our south. It will be close enough for a few clouds, but the rain is forecast to stay south of the Ohio River. This weather system moves toward the East Coast this weekend, so our forecast is dry.

It will be a dry and warm stretch of weather through early next week. High temperatures will climb into the lower and middle 80s this weekend and into the middle and upper 80s early next week.

In the SkyTrak 13 seven-day forecast, the next best chance for rain isn't until Wednesday.
