Warm, muggy Friday night ahead
Doppler Radar estimates 9+inches of rain fell across Blackford County. Flooding is still a big concern for parts of central Indiana especially northeast of Indianapolis.
There is some good news. The heavy rain is gone for now. Expect a warm and muggy Friday evening, with temperatures in the 80s through about 10pm. A couple of showers are possible, but we are not forecasting widespread heavy rain.
Saturday will start dry, with morning temperatures in the lower 70s. There will be more clouds than sun and a chance for a few afternoon and evening storms. Due to the clouds and the threat for more rain, I think we miss 90 degrees. Forecast highs are in the range of 85-90, but the 90s will only happen where there is more sun.
I think we miss 90 degrees on Saturday due to too many clouds. We missed 90 degrees this week, due to clouds and rain. Our last 90 degree day was September 11, 2013.
A few storms are possible later Tuesday, with highs in the middle and upper 80s.
A developing weather system will bring more rain chances Wednesday and Thursday. We get a break from the higher heat and humidity by Friday of next week.
