The victim of a robbery snapped a picture of the suspect during a Craigslist exchange gone bad.

The man told police he arranged to meet another man in the 3000 block of Redskin Drive in the Stonybrook Commons Apartments on January 25, in response to an ad for a newer computer. The victim said he had an agreement with the suspect, who identified himself as "Zach," to trade an older model Apple computer and $600 in cash for a new Apple computer.

As "Zach" approached the victim's car, the victim took a picture of the man with his cell phone. Once the suspect entered the victim's car, he pulled out a handgun, demanded money, the computer and his cell phone.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction on foot.

The photo the victim took of the suspect uploaded to Apple's iCloud service. When he bought a new phone, he downloaded the photo and sent it to police.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect can call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS. Callers can also text "INDYCS" plus tip information to 274627 (CRIMES).
