Vehicle crashes into Plainfield business
A driver is being treated for cuts and back pain after crashing into a consignment shop in Plainfield Monday morning.
The car hit the store on West Main Street around 5:30 am. It took out the front window and loosened bricks.
Firefighters kept people out of the building because of the structural damage.
Store owner Ted Rickey says there wasn't a lot of damage to the items inside the store. A few things were knocked off the wall.
U.S. 40 eastbound was temporarily closed west of S.R. 267, but roads are now open.
There's no word yet on why the car crashed into the building.
