Think about it....yesterday our high was in the 50s, we had numerous severe thunderstorm warnings and winds at Indianapolis International Airport clocked at 62 miles per hour. Fast forward a few hours and Indy is hit with many wrecks and slide offs due to black ice forming on surfaces around Central Indiana.
That up and down streak is going to continue. We'll see temperatures jump again into the 50s today and the 60s tomorrow. Just as quickly,. Old Man Winter makes a return to Indiana with highs Friday, Saturday and Sunday only in the 30s and a chance for a wintry mix. It is a strange pattern but hang in there, it will change again next week.
ON THIS DAY IN CENTRAL INDIANA HISTORY....
1975: Strong winds behind a cold front down hundreds of trees across Indiana and roll several mobile homes.
