It took 40 firefighters from four different fire departments about an hour to put out a large house fire on the west side early Saturday morning.

Firefighters from Wayne Township, IFD, Decatur Township and Speedway fought a blaze that engulfed a 4,000 square foot building. Crews were called to 632 Fleming Street at about 2:30 a.m. Firefighters found an in-ground swimming pool inside of the large attached garage. Officials say they believe the home was vacant.

This was the second fire in the same neighborhood within two nights, and investigators said the fire does look suspicious.

Anyone with information on this fire or on the Roena Street fire early Friday morning, should call the Arson Hotline at (800) 382-4628 or the Wayne Township Fire Department at (317) 247-8501. Authorities are offering up to $5,000 as a reward for information leading to an arrest.
