Two teens die after vehicle is struck by a train
Classmates of two 17-year-olds who were killed when the car they were in was struck by a train gathered at Monroe Central Junior-Senior High School to grieve the loss of their friends.
The Star Press reports authorities in Farmland, about 15 miles east of Muncie, identified those killed as Amber Morrow and Kristin "Kris" Kiser. A third teenager who was in the car was listed in fair condition at an Ohio hospital.
Farmland Town Marshal Melvin Nott says autopsies are planned Monday. Superintendent Reese Mann says school officials were working to come up with a plan to offer support for students on Monday.
Mann says a prayer vigil is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday in the school gym.
