Two people shot overnight in separate shootings
Two people were shot in separate shootings Tuesday night in Indianapolis.
A 19-year-old male victim was shot three to four times in his hand, knee, and arm with a rifle.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning in the 2600 block of Hillside Avenue on the northeast side.
Seven shots came through the wall of the victim's bedroom from the alleyway outside.
The victim was taken to Riley Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police believe the victim may have been the target.
There was no suspect or arrest, but IMPD is investigating the incident.
The second shooting happened earlier, around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at 6657 Taraval Dr. on the northwest side.
IMPD says multiple shots went into the rear bedroom of the home from a neighbor's backyard.
