Two found dead in northwest Indianapolis home

Police are investigating the deaths of two people found dead in a home on the northwest side of Indianapolis Monday.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 3 p.m. at a home in the 6100 block of Patoka Lake Drive, near W. 52nd Street and N. High School Road. The caller told the dispatcher two adults, later identified as 46-year-old Deanna Rooks and 49-year-old Michael Hall, both of Indianapolis, were found unresponsive in the home and that a vehicle in the garage was running.

Medics arrived on the scene and declared both victims deceased and noticed high levels of carbon monoxide present in the home.

Investigators determined Hall had signs of apparent trauma to his head, but Rooks showed no apparent signs of trauma. Hall's death has been ruled a homicide, while the cause of Rooks' death remains under investigation.
