Two dead in north Indianapolis shooting

Two people were killed Thursday afternoon in a shooting on the north side of Indianapolis.

The two men were found in a car in the 3100 block of Graceland Avenue shortly before 2:00 p.m. Each appeared to have been shot. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

Detectives believe the men were shot in an alley east of North Graceland Avenue, near W. 32nd Street. After the shooting, the victims drove south in the alley to W. 30th Street before turning north on Graceland, where they crashed into a tree. The car was found riddled with bullets; the back window was shot out.

No suspects have been identified nor has a motive been released.
