Two arrested in June 11th Indianapolis homicide


Two men are under arrest for the murder of 19-year-old Damien Williams.

Williams was killed on June 11, 2013, in the 2400 block of North Guilford Avenue.

Jamar Minor, 19, and Gordan Gray, 20, face charges of murder, attempted murder and handgun violations. Police say they were involved in the shooting of a second victim who survived.

Minor and Gray are being held at the Marion County Jail and have a hearing on June 27.

Officers were called to the 2400 block of Guilford Ave. on the night of June 11 after someone reported a shooting. They found a man lying in the street, critically wounded with at least one gunshot wound. A second male victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence.

Both men were taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital, where Damien Williams later died. The other shooting victim was said to be in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the leg.
