Two arrested in fatal weekend shooting in Indianapolis
Two people were arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man outside an Indianapolis restaurant.
James Chatman, 28, of Indianapolis, was found shot outside the Hardee's restaurant in the 7200 block of Woodland Drive around 11 p.m. Saturday. He died at the scene.
Tuesday, police arrested 24-year-old Dorvae Barnett on a preliminary charge of murder and his 19-year-old girlfriend, Airrayanna Byrd on a preliminary felony charge of assisting a criminal.
Barnett is believed to have shot Chatman after a verbal argument on Saturday, March 23. Byrd is accused of driving the getaway vehicle after the shooting.
