Emergency crews responded to a pickup truck that crashed into a house on the southeast corner of Allisonville Road and 146th Street.

Officers at the scene say the truck was eastbound on 146th when it veered into the house, crashing through the wall of an unoccupied bedroom.

A woman was sleeping in the other end of the home, and was not hurt.  She told officers that her grandson sleeps in the room that was hit when he visits on weekends.

The 57-year-old driver of the truck, Jerry Mooneyhan, told authorities he was eastbound on 146th Street shortly after 4:00 a.m. when he began to feel ill. He thinks he temporarily passed out.

His Ford F-150 left the south side of 146th Street and crashed into the side of the house. Mooneyhan was checked by medics at the scene, but suffered no injuries in the crash.  Deputies drove him to work.

Investigators have no estimate on the damage to the home.

Eastbound 146th Street was closed for about 90 minutes, as was Allisonville Road.

Both are now open.
