A central Indiana judge has set fall trial dates for a Muncie couple facing neglect charges in the death of a 5-year-old Haitian girl who was in their care.

Marcus and Charlene Tabb are charged in the June 22 death of Tabb's 5-year-old cousin, Marie Pierre. Prosecutors say the child was repeatedly beaten and attacked with tools at the couple's home.

Two juvenile relatives of Charlene Tabb face aggravated battery charges in juvenile court over the girl's injuries.

The Star Press reports the girl was from Haiti, where her mother lives.

A Delaware Circuit Court judge scheduled a Nov. 4 trial date Monday for Marcus Tabb and set his bond set at $300,000.

Charlene Tabb was ordered held on a $500,000 bond, pending a Dec. 9 trial date.
