Travolta on Oscar flub: Let it go!
John Travolta is speaking out about his goof during the Academy Awards Sunday night. Travolta got singer Idina Menzel's name completely wrong while introducing her at the Oscars.
Travolta called Menzel "Adele Dazeem" during the introduction. Menzel then performed the Academy Award-winning song "Let It Go," from the movie "Frozen."
Travolta's publicist released a statement to CNN, saying Travolta is just trying to let the situation go.
"I've been beating myself up all day. Then I thought...what would Idina Menzel say She'd say, Let it go, let it go! Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night," said Travolta in the statement.
Travolta's flub has now sparked a widget from Slate.com that generates users' "Travoltafied" names.
