Tracking storm chances for Super Weekend

Angela Buchman
The SkyTrak13 Weather Team is tracking storm chances this weekend. There will be several rounds of rain and storms. There is a slight risk for severe weather both Saturday and Sunday.

We are timing the first round of rain and storms for Saturday morning through Saturday early afternoon. There will also be some dry hours on Saturday afternoon and early evening. Saturday will be warmer and more humid with highs in the middle and upper 80s.

Saturday Night:

The best chance for strong to severe storms will come with another complex of storms Saturday night. The timing is from around 8pm Saturday through about 2 am Sunday.

Right now we have the start of Sunday dry, with morning temperatures near 70 degrees. It will be warm and muggy on Sunday, with highs in the middle 80s. We are not done with the unsettled weather pattern. We are forecasting scattered storms to develop Sunday afternoon.

As you try to make any outdoor plans, remember you can track the storms along with us on the WTHR weather app.

Much cooler air arrives early next week. We may near record lows Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, as we forecast temperatures in the lower 50s. Highs will only be in the 70s Monday through Thursday. weather tools
