Tracking lake effect snow into central Indiana
The lake effect snow is falling across the state of Indiana. The heaviest will fall near South Bend and up to a foot of snow is possible. The winds are strong enough to bring those lake effect snow bands south into central Indiana. Where the snow falls locally, an inch or snow will quickly accumulate and may lead to slick roads overnight and early Wednesday. It will be cold and windy overnight, with lows in the teens. With winds NW 15-25 mph, wind chills will be in the single digits early Wednesday. It will be a cold and windy day, with more snow showers on Wednesday and highs only in the 20s.
Thanksgiving Day will also be cold, starting in the teens. Highs on Thursday will be in the 30s. It will be dry from Thursday through Saturday, with temperatures rebounding into the upper 30s and lower 40s. Rain chances are back for the end of the holiday weekend on Sunday.
