Toys For Tots kicks off holiday donation drive

As you sort through your leftover Halloween candy, another reason pops up to start thinking about Christmas. Starting today, one of the biggest toy drives gets underway - Toys for Tots.

Over the past 65 years, 450-million toys have been given out to more than 200-million kids through the Toys for Tots program.

You can donate at many different locations, including all Toys-R-Us and Babies-R-Us stores.

The program is simple. You buy a toy and put it in a collection box. The Marine Reserves take care of the rest by wrapping the toys and making sure that a child in your community ends up receiving the gift.

In lieu of donating the new, unwrapped toys, you can also donate cash.

The program runs now through December 16.
