Tiger attack victim saved by co-workers
TERRE HAUTE, Ind.
The mother of a woman mauled by a tiger last month at the Indiana Big Cat Rescue Center says her daughter was saved by the quick action of her co-workers.
Marissa Dub was attacked by a tiger after it escaped from a cage at the rescue center near Terre Haute. Her mother says the tiger attacked Marissa's face and throat, leaving her unable to speak for herself.
Despite the injuries, Marissa is recovering quickly. Her mother, Kris Dub, said, "She's doing great. Everyday, she's stronger, better movement, better balance."
Marissa hopes to work with animals in the future. When asked if she can't wait to go back to work, Marissa nodded "yes."
