Three juveniles are in custody after a brief police chase on Kessler Blvd. near Binford Blvd. on the Indianapolis northeast side.

Police say the teens were driving a stolen mini-van when they crashed. During the chase, police say the suspects hit two other cars, causing serious damage but no injuries.

Investigators say the juveniles broke into at least one house before the pursuit.

The registered owner of the mini-van reported it stolen just before 7:00 am from the 1700 block of Century Way. An IMPD K-9 team spotted the vehicle at 40th and College and tried to stop the van. But the suspects fled during the traffic stop.
One witness says the allege crime spree is disturbing.

"There's not anything to say except for how sad it is. Sad that it's continuing to happen more and more and in broad daylight, all the time. I'm disappointed but I don't know the answer and no one else does," said Lisa Murdock, resident.

Detectives recovered jewelry and other items they believe the teens stole during the home burglary.
