Three in custody after Indianapolis police chase ends in crash
Three people are in custody after a chase that ended with a van driving the wrong way on Michigan St. and crashing into a pole.
Police say an officer tried to pull over a stolen van on the east side of Indianapolis. The van took off. At one point, one person in the van jumped out. Police arrested the suspect.
The chase continued as the van went the wrong way on Michigan before hitting a pole. The driver tried to run away, but police used a stun gun on him. Another person in the van was arrested.
Police say those two suspects are under 18.
The chase began at Shelby and English. It went through the city, ending at Michigan and Hamilton.
