Two people were critically injured when a car was struck by a semi on the southwest side of Indianapolis Thursday night.

The Wayne Township Fire Department says their medics are assisting IFD crews at the crash, which happened around 10 p.m. at Troy Avenue and Harding Street on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

Police at the scene say a southbound Toyota Camry swerved to miss another vehicle that was turning in front of it and was struck by a semi traveling north on Harding.

Three male occupants of the Camry were extricated from the vehicle. A 22-year-old man was taken to Wishard Hospital in critical condition. A 17-year-old boy was also taken to Wishard, in serious condition and another 17-year-old was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

The driver of the semi was checked at the scene, but was not injured.
