Three players from Indiana colleges have been invited to the training camp for the World University Games.

USA Basketball announced the roster Monday, which includes Purdue center A.J. Hammons and Indiana University senior Will Sheehey and sophomore Yogi Ferrell.

Hammons and Ferrell were selected to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2013. Hammons, a Gary native, led the conference in blocks per game in league play. He also ranked in the conference's top ten in both field goal percentage and rebounding average in Big Ten games. Ferrell, a Park Tudor graduate from Indianapolis, led the Hoosiers with 4.1 assists per game while averaging 7.6 points.

Sheehey, a Stuart, Florida native, was picked as Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year by conference coaches. He averaged 9.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 36 games with the Hoosiers during his junior year.

The training camp will be held June 24-30 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Finalists for the team will be announced late in the camp, with the 12-man roster announced before the team leaves for Russia on July 1.

The 2013 World University Games will be held July 6-17 in Kazan, Russia.
