The Replacements reunite

Replacements bassist Tommy Stinson used to say the band didn't break up -- they walked off stage in Chicago in 1991 and haven't gone back yet. They finally plan on returning.

The Replacements will reunite for three concerts. The specific dates have not been announced, but they will play Riot Fest in Toronto the weekend of August 24, in Chicago the weekend of September 13 and in Denver the weekend of September 21.

Stinson and frontman Paul Westerberg got together earlier this year to record the EP "Songs for Slim" as a fundraiser for guitarist Slim Dunlap, who suffered a debilitating stroke last year.
