Texas home dangles over crumbling cliff
A vacant luxury house appears on the verge of tumbling 75 feet into a Central Texas lake because a cliff is collapsing beneath the property.
KXAS-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth reports access to the $700,000 home on Lake Whitney has been restricted due to the danger. A piece of the cliff most recently broke off Tuesday night, sending soil and debris tumbling into the water below.
Cracks can be seen in the ground, running down the face of the cliff and across the home's driveway and foundation.
A second Dallas television station, WFAA-TV, reports the owners of the home evacuated about two weeks ago and the 4,000 square-foot home has bene beenemned.
The home is located at White Bluff Resort, about 60 miles south of Fort Worth.
