Temps drop to single digits
By 10pm Tuesday, temperatures were as low as 10 degrees in Bloomington with a wind chill of 2 degrees. Those areas that got a little snow late Monday and early Tuesday will be the coldest on Wednesday morning, with lows near 5 degrees. All of central Indiana will be in the range of 5-10 degrees, with wind chills 0 to -10 degrees. Be prepared for the cold Wednesday morning and Thursday morning. Thursday will actually be the coldest, as temperatures fall into the range of -5 to 5 degrees and wind chills will be even lower. Remember your pets need extra attention when it gets this cold. It is also a good idea to let faucets drip on exterior walls or open cabinet doors to keep the pipes warm.
Highs will be in the 20s on Wednesday, with a mix of sun and clouds. There is also a chance for a few snow showers. We are not expecting any accumulations. That may change by the weekend, as we track a stronger weather system with the potential for accumulating snow later Friday and Saturday. We will keep you updated.
