Teen arrested in 16-year-old's July 8th shooting death
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in the shooting death of an Indianapolis teen.
Homicide detectives with the Indianapolis Metro Police arrested the 16-year-old Tuesday for the murder of 16-year-old James Johnson.
Johnson was shot and killed on July 8th in a playground on the Indianapolis east side.
The teenage suspect is currently being held in the Juvenile Detention Center and has been charged with Murder and Possession of a Handgun without a Permit.
Family and friends described Johnson as a close friend of Monquize Edwards Sr., who was shot to death in downtown Indianapolis on the night of July 4th. Eron Bonner, 18, was arrested in connection with Edwards' death.
