A six-hour standoff ended peacefully with a suspect in custody in the Honey Creek Apartment complex early Wednesday morning.

SWAT officers told Eyewitness News the incident started Wednesday afternoon when police tried to serve a drug warrant.  Jonathan N. Dehebreard, 27, was wanted on the warrant, but was not at the apartment. He came back later, and after receiving a tip, police returned to serve the warrant.

Police said Dehebreard refused to come out after his girlfriend and her seven-year-old child were removed from the apartment.  The SWAT unit and a negotiator were called to the scene.

Officers shot gas into the apartment, and were able to taze and subdue Dehebreard around 2:30 a.m. and take him into custody.
