Fishers Police confirm that a SUV they were searching for in a missing person case was located late Sunday afternoon in eight feet of water in Geist Reservoir.

The vehicle found is the one that 18-year-old Peyton Riekhof was driving when she was last seen on Thursday morning.

A body was found in the SUV when divers searched it Sunday afternoon but has not been identified.  Dental records will be used to determine the identity on Monday.

For four days, family, friends, the Fishers community searched for Riekhof. Police say she was last seen at a gas station at 96th street after leaving a friend's house around 2:00 a.m. Thursday.

People living along Geist Reservoir reported to police they noticed tire tracks leading into the reservoir.  Late Sunday afternoon, after searching for an hour, a dive team located an SUV in about 8 feet of water.  They say that SUV belonged to Peyton Riekhof and that a body was found inside the SUV, but authorities have not identified the victim found inside the vehicle.

The Silver Alert for Riekhof that was issued on Friday was canceled by Fishers Police at 6:45 p.m. Sunday.

People are now drawing their own conclusions.  There is a Facebook page, titled "Rest in Peace Peyton", with more than three thousands messages of sympathy and condolence.  On Twitter, people are also offering messages of sadness and thoughts to the Riekhof family.

Officially, police say they expect to have confirmation of an identity at some point Monday. Police may also release more information about how the SUV ended up in Geist Reservoir.
