Westfield Police have released surveillance images of two suspects in an attempted robbery at the Kroger gas station early Thursday.

Police were called to the Kroger gas station around 4 a.m. Thursday at 17447 Carey Road.  Westfield Police Officer Mike Wheeler says that when officers arrived, they found the victim, who told them he was delivering fuel to the gas station when he saw a person crouching down behind a wood pile.

When the victim asked what he was doing, the unknown man, along with a second person, came from behind the wood pile.  Both demanded the victim's money and got into a brief fight with the victim.  He was not hurt and was able to get back to the cab of his semi and call 911.

The victim told 911 dispatchers that the two men took off on foot.  Noblesville Police and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department set up a perimeter and a K-9 unit was called in to search, but the two suspects have not been found.

One of the subjects is described as an African-American male wearing dark clothing, with long, dread-like hair. The second man is described as an African-American, also wearing dark clothing with short hair. Both men are approximately six feet tall, 25-30 years old, and weigh roughly 230 pounds.

Police say it's unknown if either man had a weapon at the time.  Anyone with information is asked to call Westfield Police Department's Investigations Division at 317-896-5236.
