Expect wet pavement for our morning rush hour in Indiana this morning. The rain started moving in to the western part of the state at about 1:00 this morning and now just about everyone has received some rain.  The rain moves along with the front and by afternoon, we'll see some sunshine and a high of 83.

Higher heat and humidity return for the middle to end of the week, with highs in the upper 80s.

A stray storm is possible on Thursday, with the better chance for scattered storms arriving on Friday.

If you are looking for some cooler weather, hang in there. Temperatures drop to the 70s for highs this weekend and into next week.

On this day in central Indiana weather history:
2003-The highest flood since March 1913 quickly struck Martinsville following heavy rain in Hendricks and Marion counties on September 1st.
