Street closures for Indianapolis for Nov. 29th - Circle of Lights
On Friday, Nov. 29, the Circle of Lights® presented by the Contractors of Quality Connection and Electrical Workers of IBEW 481 will be held on Monument Circle. The event begins at 6 p.m. with the live, televised show starting at 7 p.m. The lights will be turned on at approximately 7:50 p.m. Following the lighting, there will be a brief fireworks display shooting from the top of the Regions Bank Tower (One Indiana Square).
Monument Circle and all spokes will be closed to vehicular traffic on Friday beginning at 11 a.m. and will remain closed until approximately 10 p.m.
Washington Street between Pennsylvania and Illinois streets may be closed if required by the size of the crowd. Potential closure time is most likely 6:45 - 8:30 p.m. but will vary as required for public safety.
Streets surrounding the fireworks site will be closed during the fireworks, approximately 7:45 - 8 p.m. These streets include:
• Ohio Street between Pennsylvania and Delaware streets
• Delaware Street between Ohio and New York streets
• New York Street between Pennsylvania and Delaware streets
• Pennsylvania Street between Ohio and New York streets
On Friday, Nov. 29, Bankers Life Fieldhouse will be the site of the Indiana Pacers game vs. the Washington Wizards at 8 p.m. The IHSAA State High School Football Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium will also be occurring on Friday with games beginning at noon, 3:30 and 7:05 p.m.
For these events, please plan your travel through Downtown accordingly. There will be parking and sidewalk restrictions for the events.
