State Fair Band Day Sweet 16 is set


Finals begin tonight at 8 p.m. at Hoosier Lottery Grandstand

Forty-four high school marching bands from all over the state competed today in the Music Travel Consultants Indiana State Fair Band Day Competition. The highest scoring 16 bands made it to the "Sweet 16" and will compete in tonight's finals beginning at 8 p.m. in the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand. In order of tonight's performance, they are:

5. Noblesville

6. Hagerstown

7. Yorktown

8. Muncie Central

9. Richmond

10. Jay County

11. Kokomo

12. East Central

13. Anderson

14. Muncie Southside

16. Centerville

Tipton High School will start the ceremonies with the Star Spangled Banner at 7:45 p.m. The caption awards for the preliminary competition have also been announced. They are:
