13INside Track gets a taste of a paid culinary apprenticeship program through American Senior Communities

Further your culinary skills with a paid apprenticeship through American Senior Community’s culinary apprenticeship program

INDIANAPOLIS — ARTICLE SPONSORED BY AMERICAN SENIOR COMMUNITIES

American Senior Communities (ASC) is launching a culinary apprenticeship program out of their Rosegate Commons Assisted Living. This is a one-year, paid apprenticeship program that is approved by the Department of Labor and certified by the Indiana State Board of Health. Apprentice participants will work with members of ASC's culinary teams and complete online modules to further their culinary knowledge.

Susan Ford, ASC's Community Talent Relationship Manager, explains that ASC is looking for folks who are at least 16 years of age or older, and if they have a passion or an interest in learning how to work in the kitchen and do it the right way, this is a place for them.

Foodies, take note! ASC residents love food. Apprentice participants will share in this love for food throughout their experience.

Ford shares, "That's who we are working for: our residents. Every day, they come into our dining rooms and they eat three meals a day. It's a big part of their day and so food is very important to them and it's important to ASC."
