Small plane makes emergency landing in Madison County

A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing in a field near Ingalls in Madison County on Wednesday morning.

It happened near County Road 1050 South. No injuries were reported.

Eyewitness News has learned that the pilot lost engine power as he began a descent for Metro Airport in Fishers. The plane's engine failed at 5,000 feet.

The pilot made a successful emergency landing near Ingalls in a field.

The flight originated in Clarksburg, West Virginia early Wednesday morning. The pilot was on the way to Indiana for business.

Ingalls is in southern Madison County.
