Skies clearing tonight; chilly temps persist
Skies will clear overnight and it will be a cold start to Wednesday, with morning temperatures in the range of 8-15 degrees. A few patches of freezing fog are also possible overnight and early Wednesday. Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Wednesday, with highs in the lower 30s. Enjoy the sun, because we won't see much of it starting Thursday.
As milder air arrives over the snow on the ground, fog will become a big issue starting Thursday. High temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s Thursday through Sunday. We are tracking a tricky storm system for the end of the week too.
Our latest analysis indicates this will be a rain event for central Indiana. The rain is forecast to start falling Thursday night and linger into the weekend. There is the potential for heavy rain, too. With the snow melting, flooding will also be an issue this weekend. This system is still developing and there still could be some changes, so stay tuned for updates.
