Johnson County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an incident of shots fired early Saturday morning at the clubhouse of the Walnut Ridge Golf Course that left one woman slightly injured.

Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Morgantown Road just after 1:30 a.m. for a lock out and to help with dispersing a crowd.

As deputies were getting near the golf course they saw a lot of vehicles leaving the area in a hurry. There were still 30 to 40 vehicles in the parking lot when officers arrived. Dispatch told units as they were arriving that there was a report of shots fired.

Security guards who were hired for the event told deputies that a medic was needed for a gun shot victim.  Deputy's located the victim, identified as Tyeisha Perry, who was treated and released at the scene for a superficial wound to the side of her head. Perry, who was on a cell phone at the time of the shooting, stated she did not see where the shots came from but did state she only heard three shots.

Deputies and the security guards conducted a quick check of people still on the scene but found no weapons.

Party goers were taken to club house where the party was held to be questioned. The group was very uncooperative and were unwilling to assist in identifying suspects.

The security guards stated that they heard between 12 to 20 shots coming for the southeast and southwest area of the parking lot.
