Shelbyville Marathon robbed at gunpoint

Shelbyville police are investigating the Saturday night armed robbery of the Marathon-Shelbyville Food Plaza in the 200 block of North Harrison Street. 

Officers were dispatched to the gas station just after 9 p.m. Saturday night for a robbery. 

During the incident it was reported the male suspect displayed a weapon.  The Shelbyville SWAT team and K-9 units were called in to assist in tracking the suspect but were not able to locate the suspect.  

The suspect is described as standing 5'10"-6'02" tall and medium build. The victim was unable to provide any information in regards to eye or hair color. The suspect did have bright colored shoestrings, possibly red or orange in color.
