Severe thunderstorms possible tonight
Thunderstorms will continue to march off to the southeast this afternoon, bringing heavy rain and lightning. Small hail and gusty winds are possible with these storms. The intensity of the storms are weakening as they move across central Indiana.
It will be still a hot and sticky day with cloudy skies and temperatures will climb into the mid 80s.
With the high humidity, heat indices will be in the low 90s. A few more isolated storms will be possible late this afternoon.
A cold front will move in tonight and that will bring more organized thunderstorms. Some storms could be strong to severe, with the main threats of damaging winds and large hail. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. It will stay muggy and mild overnight with a low in the low 70s.
A stray shower will still be possible on Tuesday but most areas will stay dry. Temperatures will climb into the low 80s.
Cooler and drier air arrives on Wednesday. The humidity will continue to fall with highs in the low 80s.
The 4th of July Holiday weekend looks fantastic. High pressure will provide and sunny and tranquil pattern with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.
