One person died in a morning crash involving two semi trailers in Anderson on I-69 northbound Wednesday.

It happened just before 8:00 am near State Road 9. The crash shut down northbound lanes for most of the day.

Police say one of the semi trailers ran into the back of the first one. The semi jackknifed and struck the other truck again along the side and then rolled over, hitting the guardrail. The driver of the semi that rolled over was killed in the accident.

The semi trailer that rolled over was carrying a solid hazardous material (Tetra-alkyl ammonium chloride). That's preventing firefighters from reaching the victim's body.
