Indianapolis - Former Geist money manager Marcus Schrenker is reacting to his wife's appearance on an upcoming episode of the television show "Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry?"
Schrenker called Eyewitness News Tuesday from the Hamilton County Jail to talk about his wife's appearance on the Investigation Discovery show. The program promotes that Michelle Schrenker got a whole lot more than she bargained for when she married Marcus and described him as a "high-flying husband with a mistress, who cheated his clients out of thousands of dollars."
"I am deeply disappointed with Michelle's decision. I feel that this will bring undue scrutiny, ridicule and embarrassment to our children, who have already suffered a lifetime of pain. It is my hope that Michelle will donate the proceeds from this venture to reimburse the investors to whom we had a joint responsibility to protect," Schrenker told Eyewitness News.
He said he tried to work out his marriage and has apologized until he was blue in the face.
Schrenker will appear in court Wednesday afternoon to plead guilty to five felony charges. The plea agreement calls for a 10-year prison sentence. He said on the phone the court appearance will be very emotional for him and he's very sad about it.
A judge will schedule a sentencing date, likely within the next 30 days.
