The focus for thunderstorm activity will be across the southern half of Indiana Friday afternoon and evening. Some storms will contain heavy rain that may lead to flash flooding, strong winds, small hail and lots of lightning.

The storms will diminish overnight and Saturday will start dry. The day will start, with temperatures near 70 degrees. Expect those numbers to climb into the lower 80s by noon and in the middle and upper 80s for highs.

There is only a slight chance for a stray shower or storm this weekend, but most of central Indiana will be dry. The rain, if it develops won’t be as heavy or as widespread as the last few days.  If you do have outdoor plans, remember you can track the storms with us by downloading the SkyTrak13 Weather App for you phone. It is a great resource if you are on the go.

Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy and warm, with highs in the middle and upper 80s. The heat and humidity linger into next week.

Better storm chances arrive on Tuesday.
