Saving at the supermarket
If you feel like you're spending too much money at the grocery store, there are ways to save without clipping coupons.
Shopping experts say when comparing the prices of brand names versus the store brand, the key number to look for is the "unit price" - the price per pound or per ounce. You'll likely see it on the shelf next to the item's price.
Items on sale and items purchased in bulk can be a great way to save money but only if you're going to use all of it. Otherwise, it's just a waste.
Also try placing an order online either for delivery or for pickup. Some supermarkets are increasing the service which lets you shop from home without those in-store distractions.
