Retired Blackford Co. teacher faces new molestation charge

A retired teacher in Blackford County is facing new charges of child molesting.

Two additional charges were filed against John S. Adams, a longtime teacher and cheerleading coach in Blackford County Schools. The Hartford City News Times reports the charges involve an alleged second victim of molestation, but that Adams has not yet been arrested on the latest charges.

Adams, a member of the Hartford City Common Council, was charged with two felony child molesting counts. He is already facing felony charges of child molesting and sexual misconduct with a minor in connection with another incident. He was arrested for the initial charges on September 12.
