Report on fatal Indianapolis bus crash expected in two weeks

It could take another two weeks before investigators complete their report on a deadly Indianapolis bus crash, and another six months for the final report. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives and investigators from the Indiana State Police examined the bus again Thursday.

Three people died in the crash on July 27, 2013, and dozens were injured as a bus from Colonial Hills Baptist Church crashed after exiting the I-465 ramp to Keystone Ave. The driver told police his brakes failed.

IMPD expects to have the Indiana State Crash Report completed within the next two weeks.

Detectives are waiting for toxicology results and because of that, the final report could take up to six months to complete.
